eMastered Fair Usage Policy

eMastered's music distribution service is designed for serious artists, producers, and labels. To protect the integrity of the platform and maintain a high-quality experience for all users, this Fair Usage Policy outlines the limits, rules, and enforcement conditions for access to distribution. It is strictly enforced and binding for all users.

What’s Included

Your account includes:

• Access to professional-grade music distribution tools for a single artist profile
• Up to 30 new distributions per month (includes singles, EPs, and albums)
• A maximum of 100 active distributed releases live across DSPs at any given time

A release is considered active if it is live or pending on any digital platform. Withdrawn or removed releases do not count toward the active limit.

Prohibited Use

The following uses are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund:

• Distributing any content you do not own or have properly licensed (including stems, samples, beats, covers, or remixes)
• Submitting low-effort or AI-generated spam content
• Uploading material designed to mislead, impersonate, or falsify artist identity or metadata
• Creating multiple accounts to bypass usage limits or evade enforcement
• Engaging in streaming fraud, artificial engagement, bot activity, or DSP manipulation
• Using automated systems or bots to mass-upload content
• Reselling or proxy-distributing content on behalf of third parties without an enterprise agreement

eMastered retains the right to review, reject, or remove any release at its sole discretion.

Monthly Distribution Limit

To ensure stability and performance for all users:

• Each account is permitted to distribute up to 30 new releases per month
• Submissions beyond this threshold will be automatically blocked
• Exceptions may be granted for approved catalog imports, subject to review

100 Active Release Limit

To maintain platform quality:

• Your plan includes up to 100 active releases at any given time
• Exceeding this limit requires removal of older releases or upgrading to an enterprise account
• Active = Live or pending on DSPs; removed releases do not count toward the cap

Video Distribution Fair Usage

To protect delivery infrastructure and maintain DSP compliance, eMastered enforces the following limits on video distribution:

• Each account may distribute up to 50 music videos per year
• This includes official music videos, visualizers, lyric videos, and any alternate visual versions of audio releases
• This limit applies globally across all supported DSPs and is tracked at the account level
• Attempts to circumvent this limit through multiple accounts or alternate encoding formats are strictly prohibited

Submissions exceeding this threshold may be paused, rejected, or removed at our discretion. Repeated abuse or excessive uploads may result in the suspension of video distribution privileges or account termination without refund.

Accounts requiring more than 50 annual video submissions — including labels, managers, or high-volume creators — must apply for a custom enterprise plan.

This limit exists to prevent misuse, maintain DSP delivery compliance, and ensure reliable access for all artists.

Enforcement Policy

Violations of this policy will result in:

• Immediate suspension or removal of distribution privileges
• Takedown of active or pending releases without notice
• Permanent account termination without refund
• Possible reporting to DSPs, fraud prevention networks, and legal authorities in cases of abuse

eMastered enforces this policy without exception.

Legal Responsibility

By using eMastered’s distribution services, you:

• Accept full legal responsibility for all content you upload and distribute
• Warrant that you possess all necessary rights and licenses for the content you release
• Agree to indemnify and hold harmless eMastered from any claims, takedowns, damages, or disputes arising from your content
• Understand that eMastered is not responsible for licensing, content ownership, or third-party copyright claims

KYC and Identity Verification

eMastered reserves the right to request identity verification at any time, including but not limited to:

• Matching legal name and payment methods
• Verifying publishing rights or licenses for covers and collaborations
• Reviewing identification documentation for high-volume or suspicious accounts

Failure to comply may result in account suspension or denial of distribution access.

Audit Cooperation Clause

By using our services, you agree to fully cooperate with any internal audit or investigation initiated by eMastered or external DSPs, rights organizations, or legal authorities regarding your releases, metadata, or account activity.

Refusal to comply may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal escalation.

If you operate a label, collective, or require higher limits and multi-artist support:
